Exit as a process: Exploring Brac University student dropouts

Over the years, there has been a significant rise in the number of private universities in Bangladesh pioneered by the North South University. More than fifty such institutes, mostly concentrated in Dhaka, are playing key role in providing tertiary education to a large number of students alongside public universities. With the realization of the fact that the rate of student dropout from BU is high, this study has been conducted to better understand reasons that lead to dropouts. Dropout can be either voluntary whe n students leave BU for greater benefits elsewhere or forced when a student is dismissed for some reason or other.
